A downloadable game for Windows, Linux, and Android

Prepare for a new adventure, explore the island, solve puzzles, fight strange creatures, and find treasures and secrets. Can you find all 17 treasures chests hidden all over the island?

This game is an early prototype. You can download a demo for Linux, Windows, and Android below. By now, it is still rather short but I will continue to add new content and to build the whole island.

I hope you enjoy it anyways. If you have any feedback, I would really appreciate if you leave a comment.

Thank you for playing!

Controls:

On PC:

This game is intended to be played with a gamepad. I have tested it with a wired xbox 360 controller but others should work as well. It also works with keyboard.

w a s d = move around

k = First/main action

h = Second action

i = Inventory/pause

c = Show controls in-game at any time

esc = Request to quit the game (will create an autosave)

On Android:

Controls will be displayed on app start. Left half of the screen is for movement (swipe and hold) and the right half is divided in subsections for first action, second action, and inventory.

Closing the app should create an autosave, which you can resume next time you play. Note that there is always only one autosave!

Install instructions

Android-Users: Simply download the .apk and install it, e.g., from your files app. Make sure you have enabled to install unknown apps.

Windows-Users: Download the zip archive and unpack it somewhere. Open the avenight folder and double-click on avenight.exe. If your antivirus software fires up, this is because this game is written in Python with pygame. This is a known issue and there is nothing I can do about. But there is no virus in this software.

Linux-Users: Download the archive and unpack it somewhere. (Double-)click on the avenight file.

Steam-Deck-Users: Download the windows version and unpack it somewhere. Open desktop mode and add the avenight.exe as non-steam game to steam. Enforce proton. Return to game mode and enjoy. Currently, the D-Pad does not work (but analogue sticks do). I will try to get the native version to work in the future.

How did you convert it to apk using pygame

I have used buildozer for that. The first build is always a little bit tricky, but works really well as soon as you've figured it out.

Can you please help me?

Do you have anything to contact with you?
